Content strategist and copywriter for startups, brands, and humans.

About

POV: You are on zoom with me

Hi! I’m Randle.

I’m a strategist and writer with over a decade of experience managing content at fast-growth startups and established tech companies.

I have particular experience in tech education, both managing in-house and in consulting roles. I grew a team and relaunched a content platform at the online course SaaS Teachable, where I was Head of Content. Previously, I was Head of Marketing & Content at the tech education startup Skillcrush. While there, I managed a team of seven, created four online courses from scratch, oversaw editorial and SEO, and lead brand voice strategy.

On a more personal front, I have a background in branding via the family pizza place I co-founded and co-own, Shorty’s Pizza Shack, in Waco, TX. I’ve lead recipe development and marketing since we opened in 2011. The restaurant group has since expanded to two locations and employs over 100 incredible people. I live in Brooklyn, but am often in Texas. 🍕

When my daughter was small, I went to school for a third (!) time to get an MFA in writing. I am now returning to the tech industry with three years of focused practice and editorial work under my belt, and am taking on select content, marketing, and brand copy roles. If you think we might be a fit, I’d love to hear from you.

Psst! If you’re looking for my writing or songwriting, you can find it here: www.randlebrowning.com

Testimonials

Randle has an uncanny ability to hire, lead, and motivate team members who put out their very best work. Her management style allows her team to collaborate and flourish across the board, all while achieving (and even surpassing) greater goals of the company.

She has an eagle eye for content strategy. She knows exactly where to focus her team’s energy and finds the most effective ways to increase traffic, drive qualified leads, and create content that converts. The numbers — and happy customers — speak for themselves.
— Kristin Hoppe, Content Consultant & former direct report at Teachable
Creating quality healthcare content’s challenging. It needs to be interesting to read, well-researched, and SEO-optimized, not to mention well-written. Randle not only met this challenge but exceeded it. Her content’s already resonating with readers, while also educating them.

In addition to that, she was a true professional from start to finish—responding to emails quickly, hitting all her deadlines, and submitting proofread content. Long story short, she was her own project manager, making her an absolute joy to work with.
— Jenni Maier, Content Lead at Keeps
Randle is truly an online course expert, and she continues to blow my mind with how much she knows about course marketing and sales. She’s a perfect fit for service providers, especially women entrepreneurs like me, who decided to build an online course as a scaling mechanism for their services business.

I was afraid my launch would fall flat, but thanks to her strategic advice around course positioning — not to mention her great feedback on my sales page and launch email sequence — I quickly sold my courses to 14 students and added a healthy chunk of revenue to my business. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed and recommend her to all course creators I know!

Online Course Series for Teachable Creators

While at Teachable, I led my team in launching a series of online courses designed to help creators launch their first online course using Teachable. I designed curriculum, worked with subject-matter experts, wrote and edited scripts, spent two days filming on set, and even made a few appearances on camera. 🤓

Blog Migration & SEO Optimization for Teachable

At Teachable, I led a team of writers and SEO strategists in migrating the company blog onto our own platform, all while improving performance and targeting the most critical search terms for potential customers. We grounded the project in extensive keyword research while still being sure to publish meaty and informative content for real humans (not bots).

Blog Launch: Cove Migraine

I worked with Cove to create content for the pharma startup’s brand new blog. This project was all about meeting readers where they were—in search of answers and help treating migraine headaches. I wrote all the content for the blog launch, interviewing physicians and using SEO tools to optimize for search terms.
